The Nashville Predators became the first team to make a splash in the college free agency period, as they signed F Jack MacLellan out of Brown University. They agreed to a one-year entry level contract. MacLellan, 23, just finished his senior season at Brown recording 15 goals and 15 assists in 30 games.
