Logan Shaw Signs An ELC

The Florida Panthers have signed their 2011 3rd round pick (76th overall), Logan Shaw to an Entry Level Contract.

Shaw, 19 has just finished his 4th season in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles and the Quebec Remparts. Shaw was traded from the Screaming Eagles this year to the Ramparts on the January 7th trade deadline. He played a total of 70 games for the two teams this year, scoring 20 goals and adding 21 assists for a total of 41 points. Shaw set a seasonal career high in the Q with 21 assists. He broke his previous best of 20 assists from the 2010-11 season. Shaw played a key role in the Quebec Ramparts playoff run even though it ended in a second round loss to the Halifax Mooseheads. In 11 playoff games, Shaw scored 6 times and had 5 assists. Over four season in the QMJHL, Shaw totaled 60 goals, 59 assists, 119 points and 136 penalty minutes.

The 6-foot-3 right winger brings a mix of skill and size to any forward line-up that he is placed in.
