The St. Louis Blues remain in first place in the Western Conference and first in the entire National Hockey League. The division standings remain the same as the past couple weeks as the Red Wings are in 4th in the Western Conference, the Preds remain in 5th and the Blackhawks are in 6th. If the standings stay the same then there would be a divisional first round playoff match-up between the Detroit Red Wings and the Nashville Predators.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

High-Flying Blues - The St. Louis Blues became the first team to reach 100 points with there most recent win and became the first NHL team to clinch a playoff spot.

Radulov's Return? - Alex Radulov is expected to return to Nashville this week as an agreement between Salavat and himself has been reached as Salavat will keep his KHL rights, so he will report to them if he ever returns to the KHL.

TooToo Winning a Trophy? - The Professional Hockey Writers' Association announced their nominee for the Bill Masterton Trophy is Nashville forward; Jordan TooToo. The Bill Masterton Trophy is awarded to a player "who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey."

Datsyuk's Return - Yesterday, Detroit forward Pavel Datsyuk returned to action after an injury and made an immediate impact. Datsyuk scored an incredible goal from a difficult angle. Despite his goal the Detroit Red Wings did lose in overtime.

Martin Erat - Erat is truly becoming a top forward in the NHL. He has 6 points in his last 3 games played for the Nashville Predators, and now has 55 points in 63 games and is on pace for 21 goals and 43 assists in 73 games.

Returns - With Jared Boll and Steve Mason coming back from injury the Blue Jackets have assigned winger; Dane Byers and goalie; Allen York to Springfield in the AHL.

A NHL First - St. Louis forward; Jaden Schwartz played his first career NHL game yesterday and he quickly got rid of the nerves as he scored his NHL first career goal at the 19:24 mark of the first period.

Carcillo Staying Put - The Blackhawks have resigned 26 year old pest Dan Carcillo to a 2 year deal. He has 11 points and 82 penalty minutes in 28 games this year.

No Toews Yet - Jonathan Toews was supposed to return to the lineup on Thursday but he has yet to do so, as he missed another game today. He is practicing with the team every day but he is not game ready yet.

Goalies Are Looking Better - The Chicago goalie tandem of Corey Crawford and Ray Emery has been looking pretty great as off late which makes the Blackhawks a team to really fear as they head towards the playoffs.

On the Move Again - Gustav Nyquist is on the move again, as he has been called up from Grand Rapids to play for the Detroit Red Wings.

2011 Draftee Under the Radar - Chicago forward; Andrew Shaw scored 2 more goals and recorded an assist in today's game. Andrew Shaw now has 15 points in 28 games. He was drafted in the 5th round in 2011, so it is impressive that a 5th rounder has already cracked an NHL lineup. Only 4 other players drafted in the NHL 2011 draft have played over 10 games and they are all very high first rounders; Ryan-Nugent Hopkins, Gabriel Landeskog, Adam Larsson and Sean Couturier

More Injury Problems - In todays game against the Calgary Flames, Columbus goaltender Curtis Sanford left the game with an lower body injury and will be evaluated at a later date. Steve Mason stepped into the game for him.

Second Fastest - David Bolland scored 10 seconds into the game for Chicago agaisnt the Dallas Stars. It was the 2nd fastest goal into a game in Chicago's team history. Only Brent Sutter scored faster as he scored eight seconds into a game in February of 1995. Bolland's goal ended Kari Lehtonen's shutout streak at 128 minutes and 32 seconds.

Forced Call Up - The Red Wings were forced to call up goaltender; Jordan Pearce from Grand Rapids to backup Jimmy Howard. Joey MacDonald is going to have an MRI on his back on Monday, hoping to disregard the idea that it could be connected to any previous back issues.

Who to Watch

Jaroslav Halak - He has improved his record to 25-10-6, with a 1.85 GAA and a .929 save percentage
Corey Crawford & Ray Emery - Can they keep their play up as of late and make the Blackhawks a serious Stanley Cup Threat?
Ken Hitchcock - Can he continue coaching the Blues to an almost guaranteed Jack Adams Award title?
Pavel Datsyuk - With 1 goal in his return, look for him to be a huge boost to Detroit in all parts of the game.
