Winnipeg gets two picks in the top 3 rounds of the 2013 draft to help their future for a defenseman. Winnipeg already has a strong defense and so had an access that they might as well use and they used it well as they got two good picks for a defenseman that was not high in their defense depth chart.
Chicago gets a strong defensive defenseman with decent offensive output (13 points in 63 games) to help they're blueline depth. Oduya now joins a team gearing up for another run for the cup. Cost them a fair amount to get them, but Oduya should be great, cheap way to booster their depth in their D.
Chicago trade rating: B-, improved D depth greatly
