This is huge for Detroit, as he is able to score, yet provide space for the Detroit stars, such as Datsyuk and Zetterburg, Shine. A very skilled player who is great in shootouts. Though he is a veteran he will help Detroit with his great experience. Another great aspect of Bertuzzi is his versatility. Bertuzzi can play both right wing and left wing. truly a great player with a career haunted by one incident that he will always regret. For most teams a player like this would sign for around 4 million per year, but because the Detroit organization is so good, players like Bertuzzi extension for far less so they can stay on the team. This deal allows Detroit to continue to have great cap space giving them the opportunity to trade for a player like Hemsky, Semin or Nash.
