Ottawa gets a 27 year old defenseman with some offensive output. Currently has 17 points in 54 games including his 1st game for Ottawa (no points in that game). Should provide more depth the the blue line of Ottawa as they go for the playoffs. Though he has few playoff experience still, he has some and so can help with the young players with no playoff experience.
Tampa gets a struggling 24 year old offensive defenseman. Previously picked 9th overall in the 1st round of the 2005 entry draft by Ottawa, Lee would seem to have it in the AHL, but would struggle whenever called up. Tampa Bay will have to hope that the change of scenery for Lee will be enough to cure Brain Lee's struggles.
